NSFREU Application

Thank you for your interest in the 2012 NSF REU program Biological Discovery in Woods Hole. We received a very large number of excellent applications and are now examining each applicant's file with the intent of informing all completed applicants of their status by April 15, 2012. In the interim, we would ask that you please refrain from contacting the directors or MBL regarding the status of your application.

Please do not be concerned if your references are not listed on your application link. We had a great number of faculty email their references directly to this email address and have them all saved. However, we do not have the resources to individually link each reference received by email to the application page. Additionally, if you have completed your portion of the application and are missing references, we prefer not to penalize the student and we will make every attempt to contact your references directly.

You may add or update to your applications through March 15 however the application website will be shut down after this time.

On March 16, we will begin the process of deleting duplicate applications (saving all pertinent information) and applications that students have failed to upload any material to focus on completed applications. If you try to access your application link after March 15 and cannot find your application, it is possible that we have either merged duplicate applications and are still reviewing the combined application or that your material was not uploaded by the deadline and has been deleted.
